Graphic Design

In the Graphic Design department, students are taught how to make the messages of the surrounding world visible. This could also be seen as learning how to communicate visually. Many resources are used in this process: type, signs, colours, pictures, moving pictures, composition, form, etc.

SUVA Type Foundry is a platform for fonts designed by students, alumni and faculty at the Department of Graphic Design.

The department publishes a monthly letter format publication Dear Friend covering design events, issues and ideas. The publication distributed via snail mail is edited by Sandra Nuut and Ott Kagovere.
