“SAME” at EKA Gallery 12.08.–03.09.2016

“Same” by Ann Paljuväli and Ahti Sepsivart focuses on the entanglements of nature and architecture – two categories that have often been viewed as oppositional – and seek to find the sameness in them.

“Same” is curated by Maria Helen Känd.

Ahti Sepsivart (1990) has studied architecture at TTK University of Applied Sciences in Tallinn. He is currently doing his Master’s degree in architecture and urban planning at the Estonian Academy of Arts and also working as an architect in Finland.

Ann Pajuväli (1990) got her bachelor’s degree in graphic art at the Estonian Academy of Arts and she is currently doing her Master’s degree in the same field. Ann’s work has been exhibited in a number of group shows and it has been published in several magazines in Estonia and abroad.

Maria Helen Känd (1991) has been working in the field of cultural journalism, mostly focusing on film criticism in the past few years. In 2014 Maria won the competition for the Young Film Critic of the Year organized by the cultural newspaper Müürileht. She has studied Liberal Arts in Humanities (literary theory, philosophy and anthropology) at Tallinn University.
