“Are We Closer Now?” at EKA Gallery 4.04.–27.04.2017

On 4 May at 6pm EKA Gallery is opening a new exhibition, “Are we closer now?” by Laura Cemin and Lena Schwingshandl.
“Are we closer now” takes a look at intimacy and its various forms expression. The artists explore the notions like personal space, intimacy between strangers and question how to measure closeness. They both approach the subject matter in slightly different way – Laura Cemin’s work takes a more of an analytical stance, while Lena Schwingshandl looks at the poetics of strangeness. Together they create a space for exploring physical and mental distances and observing the sometimes uncomfortable process of getting closer to another person.
