TASE is the annual spring graduation show of the Estonian Academy of Arts, with this year’s main exhibition taking place at our new home at EKA, Põhja pst 7. The exhibition will open on 31 May at 7 PM and the final projects will remain on view until 16 June. At the opening Young Artist Award and Young Applied Artist Award will be given out together with the Estonian Artists’ Association. Followed by exhibition tour by Pire Sova, TASE curator and EKA gallerist. The opening party is hosted by EKA radio REKA.
The exhibition presents the final projects of fine arts, architecture, design and art and culture master’s students with the additional final works of fine arts bachelor’s students. Guided tours by Magdaleena Maasik and Maarja Käsk are taking place on May 3, 4, 10 and 11, at 2 PM.
Young Artist Award and Young Applied Artist Award
The winners of the Young Artist Award are chosen from both the bachelor’s and master’s level students graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts this year.
The winners of the Young Applied Artist Award are chosen from both the bachelor’s and master’s level students graduating from the Faculty of Design this year. Jury members: Kai Lobjakas, Ilona Gurjanova, Kaire Rannik, Tanel Veenre and Kristjan Mändmaa.
The winners of the Young Artist Award and Young Applied Artist Award at master’s level will be announced at the opening of the TASE main exhibition and the respective awards at bachelor’s level at the EKA graduation ceremony.
TASE ‘19 @ NART
Art History and Visual Culture as well as Urban Studies departments MA thesis presentations are taking place at Narva Art Residency. There will also be Faculty of Design satellite exhibition “Accessories”. A free bus is going to Narva from EKA on 1 July at 10.30 AM. Register at firstname.lastname@example.org
