Scholasthip programmes:

– ERASMUS+ for exchange studies in EU (max 12 months)

ERASMUS+ Credit Mobility – exchange studies outside EU in partner universities; scholarships available for limited options (see the notice in the table).

– NORDPLUS for exchange studies in Nordic-Baltic partner universities


Note: for the Erasmus+ EU partners (sheet 1) we have monthly grant to offer.

APPLICATION FORM Note: you can choose 3 different partner universities, the scholarship depends under which programme the partner university goes.

You have to add a link to your portfolio and motivation letter (1 A4). You can use your google account for sharing the files.



General conditions:

  • All EKA students are welcome to apply, including Open Academy students – the only condition is that the student doesn’t have tuition fee depts or bigger academic depts/academic problems.
  • All applications have to be approved by the study office and also the speciality department (International Office will ask for the confirmation directly)

– There are two stages of applying for exchange studies:

1) submit your application to EKA scholarship committee

2) after receiving the confirmation about scholarship and choice of partner university, the student will have to send the application to the partner university (check the deadlines and regulations in advance!).

  • The studies in partner school are free of charge.
  • During the exchange period you still have all rights and obligations of a regular student.

– It is not allowed to stay on academic leave while exchange studies or training

– Students can have extension of nominal study time according to number of semesters spent abroad (1-2) in case you have stayed abroad at least 3 months and transferred minimum 15 ECTS.

Students can apply for the exchange studies starting from the second year of bachelor or architect studies.

Internship offered – Studio Bas Sala, Rotterdam

For our design studio we are looking for open-minded creative people who both love to design and to experiment. You are interested in many things and as a designer you especially don`t want to work at the desk the whole day? If this addresses to you, then you’ve come to the right place!
Studio Bas Sala is an interdisciplinary design studio in Rotterdam. We design and make products, objects, and (interactive) installations. We spend a lot of time on (practical)research. We operate globally with projects in Europe and Latin America. In our well equipped workshop (Including cnc mills, 3d printer) we produce our products and make architectural and urban models for other companies.
Our designs invite you to sit, play, think, do nothing and often raise a smile. Innovation, interdisciplinary cooperation ( with professionals and non-professionals ) and qualitatively high end products play a central role in our work. Many of our projects are self initiated and focus not only on the physical design, but also on the way they are used.
In the near future we are working on the following projects:
– We develop a temporary pop-up bus stop, as incomparable object in public space – We coordinate a design project with dutch and Colombian designers and realize
the exhibition during the Dutch Design Week
– We design a new concept for rain barrels. This sounds dull. But is far from that. It’s gonna be the coolest rain barrel ever !
– In close collaboration with local residents, we are developing the temporary Hefpark in Rotterdam, where in
the near future a children’s playground will be built – ……..
This we expect from you :
– You like practical work and have experience with building products, furniture, models – You are curious and interested in many things
– You have a lots of energy and are motivated to discover new things
– You work independently and conceptually
– You are studying product / industrial / furniture / interior design, etc.

Studying abroad for EAA students

The EAA has more than a hundred partner universities abroad and in many of them students from each level of education (BA, MA, PhD) may study and receive credit points. The period of study abroad usually lasts from 3 – 12 months. 
Besides, students may go on practical training to foreign companies, galleries, studios, etc. 
Please turn to the International Office if you have a wish to use these opportunities.
