The research field is focused in conceptualisation and critique of gender identities, roles and norms through art practice and creative research, addressing feminism, LGBT and queer theory. The interdisciplinary thinking of gender studies in art practice deconstructs traditional assumptions of gender and sexual identity, questioning traditional approaches and challenging social inequalities.
