Pedestrian Movement Analysis in Tallinn City Centre

3D Lab has carried out several fieldwork sessions in the city centre of Tallinn. We have captured hundreds of pedestrian tracks that help us to build digital simulation tools for predictive urban analysis.

How do we do it? – We observe pedestrian behaviour in the city and build computational models to simulate it. We believe that such models help us to assess how changes in the urban environment drive pedestrian movement in the future.

We have published an article about our work in 2016: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/306066288_Synthetic_Modelling_of_Pedestrian_Movement_Tallinn_case_study_report?ev=prf_pub
