Stella Runnel is Associate Professor and Head of Accessory Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts and a practising designer who has developed her bag and accessory brand Stella Soomlais since 2004. In her work she looks for circular design solutions that make the most of the material and make products long-lasting, easy to care for and repair, and eventually raw material for new ones. She brings hands-on experience of production and entrepreneurship to the academy.
