Student competition “Different Public Space”

During Tallinn Youth Week, winners of the student competition “Different Public Space” were announced. The goal of the competition was to find out what students think about Tallinn public space and what proposals they might have for improving it. The winning work had to show both the problem and a solution for it, location and topic were left open for the participants to choose. Of the 17 works submitted, four were awarded by the jury.

Anna Liisa Saavaste (Estonian Academy of Arts Architecture and Urban Design 2nd year student) won the competition with her proposal “Light”, aiming to make the Viru Shopping Centre underpass a more pleasant environment.
