PART Horizons Residency Award

Residentuuri periood: august–september 2026 (2 kuud)
Asukoht: PART rahvusvaheline kunstiresidentuur, Austria (Viin)

PART rahvusvaheline kunstiresidentuur Austrias (Viinis) ja Eesti Kunstiakadeemia kutsuvad 2026. aasta EKA lõpetajaid, kelle praktika hõlmab installatsiooni, skulptuuri või teisi ruumilisi ja materjalipõhiseid lähenemisi, kandideerima kahekuulisse loomeresidentuuri Viinis.

Residentuuri eesmärk on anda värsketele lõpetajatele võimalus arendada oma kunstipraktikat ning tegeleda süvenenult loometöö ja loovuurimusega. Samuti toetab see professionaalset võrgustumist ning loob tugeva sideme Tallinna ja Viini kunstivälja vahel ühise kuraatori- ja mentorlusprogrammi kaudu.

What the residency offers

The selected resident will receive:

● Residency at PART (Vienna) for two months (August–September 2026)

● Dedicated working and living space

● Monthly stipend of EUR 1300 (for living expenses) to be paid directly by the

Federal Ministry to the residents

● Public transport ticket for Vienna (for the residency period)

● Curatorial support by PART

● Individual mentoring and an accompanying program

Note: Travel costs are not covered by PART. Applicants are encouraged to explore additional mobility support options (see “Funding & travel” below).

Who can apply

Applicants must:

  • Be an EKA alumna/alumnus (preferably from Sculpture & Installation; related fields are welcome if the practice is relevant)
  • Demonstrate an active artistic practice in sculpture, installation, spatial practice, or related media.
  • Be available to take part in the residency in August–September 2026
  • Be able to communicate in English (working language)

Funding & travel

  • PART does not cover travel costs.
  • Depending on eligibility and institutional procedures, the selected resident may be able to combine the residency with Erasmus+ mobility funding (to be explored together with EKA after selection).
  • Issuance of an official Letter of Invitation by PART to help any funding

What we expect from the resident

During the residency, the resident is expected to:

  • Engage in regular exchange with PART’s team and mentoring/curatorial framework
  • Participate in the accompanying program (as mutually agreed)
  • Contribute to at least one public-facing moment, such as an artist talk, open studio, or informal presentation
  • After returning, share the experience with the EKA community (e.g., short talk / presentation / documentation session) to help build longer-term institutional knowledge and connections
  • Feedback and Final Report by the end of the residency

Selection process

A small selection committee formed by representatives of PART and EKA will evaluate applications based on:

  • Artistic quality and clarity of practice
  • Relevance to practice and international representation of EKA
  • Feasibility of proposed plans within the residency time frame
  • Openness to exchange and engagement with the program

Timeline

  • Application deadline: May 15, 2026
  • Selection & confirmation: Announced publicly at TASE exhibition opening on May 27, 2026
  • Residency: August–September 2026
