External Study
You can continue your studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts as an external student if you have previously studied at the EKA and completed at least 50% of your curriculum. An external student is not matriculated and does not have student status.
If you wish to continue your studies as an external student, then:
1) Contact your Academic Affairs Specialist at least one week before the start of the semester, with whom you will review your study plan and determine which subjects you have not yet completed.
2) On this basis, you must complete and submit an application to the study plan specialist.
3) Based on the application, an order specifying the period in which subjects were taken and passed and/or the term for defending the final thesis and an invoice will be issued.
An external student wishing to defend a thesis or portfolio must submit an application:
- in the spring defense period (May-June) by April 1
- in the winter defense period (January) by November 1
The tuition costs reimbursement rates for external students for the exams or credit tests in BA, integrated or MA studies (including courses transferred with a VÕTA):
