Opportunities

There is a lot of cooperation between the parties, and the scope is broad. Here is an overview of the most important activities.

Bachelor’s courses from other universities

Bachelor’s level studies are usually structured quite specifically in universities. However, the project allows students to choose vertical and horizontal courses to expand their portfolios.

Doctoral conference

The T4EU Doctoral Conference is organized annually to popularise joint research works within the network. The conference allows knowledge transfer between researchers and scientific branches of partner universities.

Staff training

We offer online courses for academic and administrative university staff to strengthen and develop their skills. Selected according to the universities’ needs and opportunities, they focus on topics related to teaching and studying but also on performance, leading, and teamwork skills.

Conference-hackathon INNO-METHODS

The first Transform4Europe Alliance’s international conference hackathon, “Transform4Europe International Conference-Hackathon for the Innovative Teaching and Learning Methods in Higher Education (INNO-METHODS)”, took place on October 2022 at the Lithuanian Vytautas Magnus University. The conference aimed to share ideas on innovative teaching and learning methods in higher education. The best specialists from the alliance universities shared their success stories and experiences.

Mobility

The highlight of the project is the annual Transform4Europe Week. The event allows one to get to know the contacts made during the project. Both students and employees are welcome to participate. During the week, courses, workshops, discussion groups, shows, and professional meetings are organized. Regional attractions are also visited together.

In May 2022, The University of Silesia in Katowice invited students and academic and administrative staff to Poland. The students took part in workshops and lectures and did sightseeing. Mikael Kelomees, a member of the student association and a bachelor’s student of art science and visual culture, wrote about his experiences HERE.

European Culture Week

European Culture Week introduces the diversity of European cultural heritage through art, architecture, music, theatre, and dance.

Open Lectures

An Open Lecture series with two speakers, where academic knowledge and business experience come together at one table. During the project, 16 lectures will be held which analyze future-oriented topics.

Chair Exchange

The Transform4Europe Chair Exchange Initiative contributes to an enhanced and more structured teaching staff mobility. A Transform4Europe Chair is a teaching position on a topic relevant to the Alliance priority areas. It can contain a minimum of ten teaching hours of extra-curricular activities like public lectures; consultations with students and Ph.D. students; co-supervision of master theses; meetings with stakeholders; research contributions;  participating in workshops; or conferences.
