The Ministry of Education and Research has announced this year’s laureates of the Teacher of the Year competition “Estonia Learns and Thanks”.

Educational Act of the Year – “Welcome, Ukrainians!” is the rapid response of the Estonian Academy of Arts as a provider of art education for Ukrainian students and the initiator of international aid cooperation.

When the world of Ukrainian students had collapsed and there was enormous uncertainty about the future, the opportunity to continue their studies at EKA and at least experience security was extremely important. EKA’s sense of mission and quickness of action and thought enabled us to react quickly and creatively. More than 100 students responded to the invitation to study at EKA in a short period of time. It was possible to open the study as soon as possible, because EKA was able to offer studies also at the bachelor’s level in English.
