On April 23, 2025, the inauguration of Rector Hilkka Hiiop took place.
The President of the Republic of Estonia Alar Karis placed the official badge on the Rector’s neck. The Rector was welcomed to her new position with speeches by the Minister of Education and Research Kristina Kallas and the Minister of Culture Heidy Purga. Hilkka Hiiop’s five-year term as EKA Rector has begun.
Florian Wahl and the EKA Chamber Choir performed.
