On 21 June 2026, the workshop Under the Oak brought together students, staff and alumni to re-establish the EKA Student Garden in the Kotzebue 10 courtyard.

The re-established garden forms part of EKA’s expanding campus and will continue to develop over time. Raised beds, compost and the season’s first plantings marked the beginning of the garden. The first plantings include edible crops, herbs and native wildflowers selected to support biodiversity.

Under the Oak was led by Jake Shepherd and Yvette Bathgate and supported by Transform4Europe.
