EKA Among the World’s Top Universities According to QS Survey

The educational research company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced on March 22, 2023 the “QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023”, which ranks the world’s universities in 51 academic disciplines. The Estonian Academy of Arts continues to be among the top 200 in the list of the world’s top art and design universities! Among EKA’s closest partner schools, London’s Royal College of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Helsinki’s Aalto University, The Glasgow School of Art, RMIT, Stockholm’s Konstfack have reached high places in the ranking. QS believes that research conducted with global partners is of enormous value and this metric will further highlight institutions that work with international partners to add value to the global research bank. To compile this year’s ranking, the QS team analyzed more than 16.4 million unique papers published between 2016 and 2020, which yielded nearly 117.8 million citations. 1,594 institutions are ranked across 54 topics in 5 broad subject areas, creating over 18,300 ranked records. These figures reflect some of the scale of the massive undertaking the team undertakes to compile these subject rankings.
