The aim of the study assignments of the first year fall semester is to introduce the prerequisites, reasons and possibilities of the emergence of architecture. When solving problems, the relationship between an individual and the environment around him/her must be studied and understood. A continuous chain of different subjects form the workflow of the studio: moving relatedly from one task to the other. In this way, the course “Introduction to the field” and the short film “Good Place”, analogue and digital graphics and the model studio are intertwined and culminate with architectural designs from each student and a built shelter in the physical space.

The culmination of the course is the construction of one of the designed shelters. Such collective construction activities help to understand the complex relationship between architecture and the real construction, as well as to create a strong course spirit.
