Science Communication Workshop: How to Spark Curiosity About Science
Would you like to learn how to talk about science in a way that makes children and young people ask “Why?”? The University of Silesia in Katowice is organising an interactive online workshop, “Science Spark – The Spark That Ignites Curiosity”. The workshop explores how to popularise science, technology and the natural sciences in an engaging and accessible way, and how to encourage young people to make discoveries on their own.
The workshop includes some theory, but the main focus is on practice. Together with the trainers, participants will set up a small laboratory at home and carry out a series of experiments using everyday items such as paper, a coin, a glass, water, pepper, dishwashing liquid and balloons. No special equipment or prior preparation is needed. Curiosity is all it takes.
The workshop will take place on 19 October from 11:30 to 14:30 via MS Teams. Register for the workshop HERE.
More information is available here.
