Student innovation labs – a way to sustainable and socially responsible growth

Project aim is to raise bottom-up innovation capacity for the benefit of sustainable and socially responsible growth in Latvia, Estonia and Cyprus, based on the experiences from know-how partners in Denmark and Netherlands.

Foundation for Society is implementing the INNOLABS project for a two years period until the August of 2016 in close collaboration with project partners Stichting NHL (Netherlands), Aalborg University (Denmark), Cyprus University of Technology and Interfusion Services Ltd. (Cyprus), Eesti Kunstiakadeemia and Stockholm Environment Institute Tallin Centre (Estonia), and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Latvia).

Next project meeting combined with staff training/study visits will take place from 13th to 17th of April in Netherlands when know-how partner Stichting NHL will organize visits to different innovation lab places in Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, Rotterdam and Delft, which will be later followed by similar staff training and study visit to Aalborg (Denmark). This will make a ground for further activities.

Afterwards preparation of innovation labs co-creation projects will start. Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Eesti Kunstiakadeemia and Cyprus University will organize local workshops and meetings with stakeholders and integrate innovation labs processes into education process.

After the student project developments and presentations Sustainable Innovation and Enterpreneurship Methodology and Guidelines for Intermediary Innovation Networks will be prepared.

Main coordinator „Foundation for Society” was founded in 2009 and has acquired the status of a public benefit organization, it is operating in education for youth and seniors, caring for the development of socially active and socially responsible society in Latvia and the vulnerable part of society.
