Estonian Churches: Development, Improvement and Completion of the Construction History, Conservation and Research Database (phase 2)

The aim of creating the Estonian churches’ database was to provide an internet environment accessible to the scholars, conservators and the broader public and brings together all information on the Estonian historic churches. In the first phase of the project in 2005-2013 the structure of the database was set up and data on the churches of seven counties was compiled. In the second phase the database is technically developed, existing data updated and new materials on the churches of the remaining counties gathered. In addition, field work is carried out on churches annually to provide new research data for the database.
