The Estonian Academy of Arts Interior Architecture department is organising a week-long summer workshop (3 ECTS) for students of interior architecture, architecture, design, crafts, fine arts and the related subjects. EKA partner university students from both BA, MA and PhD level are very much invited to participate. We have extended the open call until 15 May.
The interior architecture symposium TALGU TALK (24-30 August, Muhu, Estonia) focuses on modes of collaboration, inviting participating students to explore the boundaries between architecture, interior architecture, design, and construction through hands-on collective work. Talgud is a form of collaboration from the pre-digital era that remains timeless in its authenticity. Traditionally, it was a way to involve the community in larger tasks such as harvesting crops, building barns, or rebuilding after a fire. Bringing together the collective memory and culture of Northeastern Europe, TALGU TALK gathers 30 participants from both local and international contexts.
After five days of collaborative work (making furniture, renovating a sauna, uplifting the building’s common areas, restoring the stoves) the summer school will finish with a two-day international symposium on the issue “How will we work together?” Apply here: https://www.sisu26.ee/
