Architecture TASE ’26

Once again, the Estonian Academy of Arts’ graduation project festival TASE is here—the annual highlight of young art, design, architecture, and art culture.

The TASE ‘26 festival opens on Wednesday, May 27, at 5:00 p.m. at the EAA campus, Põhja pst 7 / Kotzebue tn 2, 4, and 10.

The TASE ‘26 online program and list of graduates is available at tase.artun.ee.

At the heart of the festival is an exhibition of EKA students’ final projects, featuring all graduates from the faculties of architecture, design, art and culture, and fine arts at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels. The main exhibition is accompanied by a diverse satellite program of specialized exhibitions, thesis defenses, and TASE Film.

Graduates from the Faculty of Architecture address socially relevant spatial issues, tackling the challenges of an aging society, the use of underutilized building materials, and the reimagining of existing environments and buildings. The work ranges from critical analysis of landscapes, cities, and neighborhoods to the discovery of new spatial possibilities for streets, buildings, and materials. Research focuses on the opening up and conversion of industrial heritage, the tension between administrative bureaucracy and self-management of abandoned buildings, and the creation of experimental building typologies using digital fabrication technologies and non-standard wood.

The public defenses of the Faculty of Architecture’s theses will take place:

At the Main Building, Room A501, on May 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Urban Planning, MA
