Exhibition “ETNEW” by fashion design department at EAA gallery

The exhibition “ETNEW” is a collaborative project by 2nd year students of the Estonian Academy of Arts fashion design department, in which the works are initially triggered from the Estonian ethnographic motifs. In the completed works a traditional cultural environment and its characteristics have been the focus point for the eight young authors, while carrying forward bold and angular new approaches to the given subject matter.

The result is an exhibition that will contribute to the diversity of the old heritage, bringing it to the existing moment in astute, playful way. In addition to clothing, the presented photographs are given the form of eight possible fashion photography series – imagined micro-worlds that reflect the young authors self-willed experiments.

Fashion photography project “ETNEW” was conducted by fashion designer Anu Lensment and artist Mark Raidpere.
