The purpose of the Raestipendium The City Council Scholarship is to support and recognise master’s and doctoral students who have demonstrated success in research and academic work. The scholarship is intended for research related to the activities of the City of Tallinn as a local government, with practical value for urban management, and which contributes to addressing specific challenges faced by the city.
On November 27, scholarships were ceremoniously awarded at the Poska House in Tallinn for outstanding research work to 17 master’s and doctoral students from Tallinn University, Tallinn University of Technology (Taltech), Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonian University of Life Sciences and the University of Tartu.
In the EKA Architecture and Urban Design department, the Raestipendiums were awarded this year to master’s students:
Miia Laur (supervisors Andres Ojari ja Toomas Tammis)
Kristina Lillepea (supervisors Andres Ojari ja Toomas Tammis)
Karl Perens (supervisors Martin ja Ingmar Melioranski)
Elisabet Võrk (supervisors Martin ja Ingmar Melioranski)
In the field of Interior architecture, the scholarship was awarded to Gert Christjanson (supervisors Mariann Drell, Gregor Taul, Pavle Stamenović) and in curricula of Urban Studies to Annabel Pops (supervisors Maroš Krivy and Karina Vabson).
The doctoral scholarship was awarded to Eva Liisa Kubinyi, a doctoral student in the field of art and design.
The scholarship amount is 2000 euros for master’s students and 3000 euros for doctoral students, funded by the City Council of Tallinn.
