Art jewellery exhibition at EAA Gallery, Tallinn
A symptom is a sign, peculiarity or a deviation from the normal state and is usually considered as independent and uncontrollable. This is something frightening and strange that shall be relieved, liquidated or suppressed. A symptom is a superficial manifestation of an underlying cause, however humans and their bodies form an integral whole, perceiving the world around themselves. Therefore, the sign may be a result of a cause from the more intimate moments of the person’s body and experiences. Jewellery born of such moments combine pain and pleasure, that may be mutually exclusive in other contexts. The process is patient enough for dealing with existential topics like life, death, soul and sexuality.
