Meeli Vreimann received the highest committee recognition at the competition-exhibition “Perspectives” of the Department of Accessories and Binding of EKA with her work “Kopavana Collection”, supervised by Karin Kallas.

Kopavana bag collection consists of 3 bags. Collection was made during the novelty bag course when the bag with wheels was made. Living is not an equation, but a solving of different tasks, looking for solutions and moving towards equations.

Living is a constant unfit situation and that itself is presumption for finding the solutions. With the first error you go back to the beginning. When opening the past (a childhood) you see that events happened then are still accompanying us in our adulthood. Processing that helps to find new viewpoints. Kopavana was a beast that the author’s grandfather used to scare the children. It lived under the bed in dust bunnies and got its power from childrens cry.

When children were naughty, it took them to the basement and the children never saw the light of the day ever again.

Materials, techniques:

Wet molding, wood construction, vegetable tanned leather, fur, chain, wheels, toy car
