On April 1, the EKA Pop-Up Shop selling modern design and new art will open on the shopping street of Telliskivi Creative City, 

The original designs and works of art of the students of the Estonian Academy of Arts on sale in the EKA Pop-Up Shop.

More than forty students bring out their best, latest, most sustainable design and art. Among the many EKA artists, the pop-up shop also features the works of already recognized authors. Among others, fashion student Cärol Ott, laureate of the 2021 Wiiralt scholarship, ceramicist and jewelry artist Elize Hiiop, accessory designer Sandra Luks, performance artist and Master’s student in EKA ceramics, and Keithy Kuuspu will present their creations in the store.

During April workshops and master classes for city residents, tourists, people from abroad will be held. One can find creations varying from graphics, drawings, paintings and photographs to clothing design, accessories, jewellery, ceramics and blacksmithing.

The Estonian Academy of Arts is once again inviting you to one of the biggest Christmas fairs in Estonia, where you can purchase original Estonian art and design works throughout the five floors of the building. Every single piece is handcrafted by our own students and alumni.

Come and see for yourself where top-notch design and art comes from!

Around 80 sellers – artists and designers – will be taking part of the fair with a wide array of products.

An art auction is planned, where the works of both alumni and students will be sold. With the collected money, we support young artists.

The majors organize workshops, Ülle Marks together with the students makes an unforgettable drawing spectacle, there are excursions in the exhibition and in the building of the EKA museum.

LE–GEN–DAR–Y EKA FOX PARTY IS HERE!

It’s time to hold one of the craziest and most artistic EKA FOX PARTIES you’ve ever seen. The star of the event is the tradition of freshmen’s punch-performances, where the freshmen of each department prepare a punch drink in an extravagant performative presentation.

The party will be especially long and stripey, because this year Hartwall Original is here to be the main sponsor of the event! Several activities are planned, where everyone has a chance to win free long drinks. In addition, Hartwall puts out proper prizes for fox performances.

This year, the graduation party takes place on 21th of June, starting from 19:00 in the EKA Gallery.

In addition to the graduating students, all other students, graduates and staff are welcome to attend. To kick off the party, there will be a drag show followed by the band Arg Part.

After the band, DJs will take over. The EKA X SVETA BAR will be serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks all night long. Guests can also capture the night in the photobooth which will be installed next to the gallery. 

The EKA Grad Party is hosted by EKA Student Council.

The event takes place at the Academy of Arts, for everybody, throughout the week and of course, totally free.

On 12 December 21, the traditional EKA Christmas Fair will take place on all five floors of the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Almost 100 traders will be selling the design and artistic creation of the students and alumni of EKA, accompanied by the young Viljandi folk band Tammele.

The Christmas market opens at 11.17 am and the last purchases can be made at 17.11 pm.

Entrance to the market is free, through the gates of Kotzebue 1, but only upon presentation of the corona certificate! To make trading more comfortable, you are asked to bring cash.
